Who we are
This policy covers www.offerbin.io (“OfferBin”, “we”, “us”). OfferBin is a free crypto information website offering live market data, a crypto converter and educational guides. For any privacy question, contact us at outreach@offerbin.io.
Information we collect
Information you give us
- Contact form: your name, email address, the topic, subject and message you send.
- Comments: if comments are open on an article, the name, email address and (optional) website you enter, your comment, and the IP address and browser user-agent WordPress records to help detect spam.
- Emails: anything you choose to include when you email us.
Information collected automatically
- Server logs: like almost every website, our hosting provider records technical data such as IP address, browser type, the page requested, the referring page and the time of the request. This is used for security and to keep the site running.
- Cookies and local storage: a small number of cookies and browser storage items, described in our Cookie Policy.
- Analytics: where we use an analytics service (such as Google Analytics), it collects information about how visitors use the site, for example pages viewed, time on page, approximate location (country or city) and device type. We use this in aggregate to understand which content is useful.
Information we never collect
OfferBin has no user accounts and no trading features. We never ask for, and you should never give us, wallet addresses, private keys, seed or recovery phrases, exchange logins, passwords or payment card details. Anyone asking for these while claiming to be OfferBin is a scammer.
Third-party services your browser connects to
Some features load content from other companies. When they load, your browser sends a request directly to that company, which will receive your IP address and basic browser information:

How we use information
- To reply to messages and handle correction, data or privacy requests.
- To publish and moderate comments.
- To show live market data and remember recent prices so pages load faster.
- To keep the site secure, prevent spam and abuse, and fix technical problems.
- To understand, in aggregate, which guides and tools are most useful.
- To meet legal obligations.
We do not use your information to make automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.
Legal bases (UK and EU visitors)
Where the UK GDPR or EU GDPR applies, we rely on: consent (for example, when you tick the box on our contact form, or accept non-essential cookies); legitimate interests (running, securing and improving the site, replying to enquiries, preventing spam); and legal obligation where the law requires us to keep or disclose information.
Sharing and selling
We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising in exchange for money. We share information only with:
- service providers that help us run the site (hosting, email delivery, spam protection, analytics), under their own terms and only as needed;
- authorities, where required by law or to protect our rights, users or the public;
- a successor, if OfferBin is ever transferred to a new owner, who must respect this policy.
How long we keep information
- Contact messages: up to 24 months after the conversation ends, then deleted.
- Comments: for as long as the comment is published. You can ask us to remove yours at any time.
- Server logs: according to our host’s settings, normally no longer than 90 days.
- Cached prices in your browser: replaced every few minutes and contain no personal data.
Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to withdraw consent at any time. California residents have the right to know, delete and correct personal information and to opt out of its sale or sharing (we do not sell or share it). We will not treat you differently for using these rights.
To make a request, email outreach@offerbin.io with the subject “Privacy request”. We will reply within one month. If you are in the UK or EU and are unhappy with our response, you can complain to your data protection authority (in the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office).
International transfers
Our service providers may process information in countries other than yours, including the United States. Where required, these transfers are protected by recognised safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
Children
OfferBin is intended for adults. It is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS and we limit who can access messages. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so please do not send sensitive information through the contact form, and never send private keys or seed phrases to anyone.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site or the law changes. The “last updated” date at the top shows when it last changed. Significant changes will be highlighted on this page.
